It turns out Lil Wayne was actually considered for the Super Bowl halftime show after all. In a new interview with Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez, she revealed that Lil Wayne wasn’t off the table. “I didn’t choose the artist, but I do believe that definitely there was consideration [for Lil Wayne],” she explained. Ultimately, however, it was decided “that Kendrick is the right person for the show at this moment.” Many of the masses were upset Wayne wasn’t chosen because of his close ties with his home city of New Orleans where the Super Bowl is being held.
