Drake will have his day in court. After a judge dismissed Drake’s defamation lawsuit against Universal Music Group, according to The Drake Docket on X, a date has been determined for the appeal. Oral argument will take place on December 4, 2026. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit will be the one in charge of listening to Drake’s legal team. Meanwhile, UMG Recordings is seeking the court to affirm the initial decision. If UMG gets its way, then the lawsuit is likely dead for good.
