Ed Sheeran has been riddled with controversy following Macklemore’s removal from Sheeran’s tour after the Seattle rapper showed support for Palestine. Now, Sheeran has addressed the situation for the first time on stage. Per Variety, Sheeran said he was sorry for making mistakes throughout this process. Also, he said he’s working to learn more about the situation and contribute to the assistance of victims “across the spectrum.” Ed Sheeran emphasized he wants his shows to be a safe space that celebrates humanity and unity, not politics. Sheeran stated some his own family members have abandoned him after this situation.
