Bad Bunny Hit With $40 Million Lawsuit Over Use of Ex-Girlfriend’s Voice

No doubt Bad Bunny is one of the biggest artists in the world but he has a bit of a legal problem on his hands. Bad Bunny is facing a sizable lawsuit from Carliz De La Cruz Hernández, an ex-girlfriend whose voice can be heard on a pair of the Grammy-winner’s songs. The $40 million suit claims De La Cruz Hernández’s “indistinguishable” contributions to “Pa Ti” and “Dos Mil 16”—where she memorably says “Bad Bunny, baby”—have been used without legal permission. “Pa Ti” and “Dos Mil 16” are nearing 1 billion combined streams on YouTube and Spotify.
