A true leader and legend has passed away today. Harry Belafonte, the iconic singer, actor, and ardent supporter of the civil rights movement, has died, The New York Times reports. He was 96 years old. Belafonte passed away from congestive heart failure on Tuesday at his home in Manhattan, per his spokesman, Ken Sunshine. Condolences to his friends and family.
