In a new interview with the Today show with CBS, Jada Pinkett Smith revealed that she and husband Will Smith have been separated since 2016 and have been living apart while trying to keep their marriage alive. Jada also revealed that she thought the Chris Rock slap at the Oscars was a skit and Chris Rock even asked her out on a date prior to his knowledge that her and Will were not broken up. To be clear, the two are not divorced, and it sounds like that’s not currently in the cards. As Jada explained, she and Will “haven’t been able to break that promise” of working through “whatever” together. An actual divorce, however, was considered at one point. See more below.
