Luigi Mangione has reached a decision on how to plead in the murder the former United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson. Luigi Mangione pleaded guilty to federal stalking charges on Friday in connection with the 2024 killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. During his appearance in Manhattan federal court, Mangione confessed, “I shot Mr. Thompson and he died,” admitting his actions were illegal. He now faces federal stalking counts as well as pending state murder and weapons charges, both of which carry potential life sentences.
