A major actor is returning to the MCU. Robert Downey Jr. will be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe… but not as Iron Man. The 59-year-old will portray Doctor Doom aka Victor von Doom in Avengers: Doomsday, which is set to release in May 2026, and Avengers: Secret Wars, which is scheduled to drop in theaters in May of 2027. The two films will be directed by Joe and Anthony Russo.
