Another delay has happened for a major upcoming movie. The highly-anticipated “Shrek 5” will remain anticipated for a while longer. Universal and DreamWorks Animation are postponing the fifth “Shrek” film from December 23, 2026, to June 30, 2027. This is the second time the movie has been pushed back; the film was originally set for a July 2026 premiere. No reason was given for the six-month delay.
