The NFL Says They Will Not Reconsider Bad Bunny As The Super Bowl Halftime Show Performer

Amongst some public outrage over Bad Bunny being chosen as the Super Bowl halftime show act, the NFL is holding firm on their decision. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell confirmed that the league isn’t considering dropping Bad Bunny as its Super Bowl LX Halftime Show headliner while addressing reporters at the league’s annual fall owners meeting on Wednesday.

“He’s one of the leading and most popular entertainers in the world. That’s what we try to achieve,” Goodell said via NFL Network‘s Mike Garafolo.

The selection of Bad Bunny for as the Super Bowl LX Halftime performer has drawn criticism from conservatives due to the Puerto Rican rapper having previously said he didn’t plan to tour the continental United States over fears of the newly implemented ICE deportation restrictions and raids potentially targeting his concerts. President Donald Trump also criticized the selection.
