TikTok was in fact banned from the U.S. over the weekend, but just for a little bit. TikTok shut down on Saturday, giving users a message when they tried to log in. Then, hours later, the app was back up and running again. The app has been granted an additional 90 days for owner company ByteDance to sell TikTok, something the company has shown no interest in doing.
