Take a second to look around your house, pictures and items you’ve been collecting for some time now. Gone, all gone. Taken by a fire!
It breaks my heart to share that this Easter Weekend a family who gives SO much to our community had everything taken from them!
From the GoFundMePage:
On March 31, 2018, the Ortega family were victims of a devastating apartment fire in Yakima, WA.
Thankfully, the family is safe and uninjured, but they lost nearly everything in the fire, escaping with little more than the clothes on their backs. They are literally starting from scratch. Christina is a member of ACT Yakima and is the president of the Yakima Pride organizing committee. She gives generously and selflessly of her time, energy, and skills for the community.
Please help us raise funds to allow the Ortega family to get their life and belongings back together ASAP. They are amazing individuals and friends to many! Now they desperately need us to step up and give for them. They have no home and little money to start over.
Every little bit helps. Lets get them back on their feet as soon as possible. Please share this GoFundMe page with your contacts.
If you wish to contribute in ways other than financial, the family needs clothing, furniture, household goods, food, hygiene products, and more. If you have a spare room or own a property and are able to work with them price, please reach out today. Contact Rochelle at ACT Yakima for specifics and to make contributions.
